Retired Police Officer is Murdered

Alberto Camacho Feliciano, a 37 year old retired sergeant of the Municipal Police Force of Xochistlahuaca, Acapulco, was found dead yesterday morning in his farm house.

According to investigators, Feliciano was cut and stabbed with a machete and finally shot dead. His wife became concerned when he didn't return from the farm late at night. She didn't worry about Feliciano until the next morning because he would usually go out at night to the farm house and stay there until early in the morning.

After realizing something was wrong, Feliciano's wife headed out to the farm house at around 11 am only to find Feliciano's dead body lying in a puddle of blood. Investigators pointed out that Feliciano's perpetrators knew about Felicianos daily routines and waited for the right moment to strike. It was an obviously planned and premeditated killing.

This is a video of the execution of two men who identify themselves as Felix Gamez Garcia, who trafficked drug into the U.S. for the Sinaloa Cartel, and Bernabe Gamez Castro, uncle of the earlier mentioned.

Both men are sitting next to each other in front of what appears to be an adobe house. They are shirtless and are being interrogated by unknown cartel hitmen. One of the executioners wears the customary military fatigues that are common among cartel hitmen.

The man identified as Bernabe states that the Sinaloa Cartel doesn't pay much at all and that it's not worth the risk. He said the last time he got paid he received only $300.

One of the men gives advice to all Mexicans: "Think hard before trying to join a Cartel. It's not worth it and it's not easy. You can't go back. These people are nobody to play with and the job is not all that glamorous as it seems to be"

After the interview one of the men is executed with a chainsaw and the other is decapitated with a hand-knife. At the end of the video a message appears that reads: "THIS WILL HAPPEN TO ALL THE SNITCHES"

Calderon Admits He Has No Clue As to the Power of The Cartels

Mexican President, Felipe Calderon, admitted in an interview with the Spanish Newspaper "El Pais", that when he declared war on the Mexican Drug Cartels in 2006, he did not have a precise idea as to how powerful and influential organized crime had become.

The journalist, Pablo Ordaz, mentioned that the Mexican mandatary "wins the confrontations. He looks rigid in his speeches, but he fails to convince when explaining his politics". Here's a sneak-peak from the official interview:

Q - When you declared war against organized crime, did you suspect it was so powerful?
A - There wasn't a precise idea of the dimensions, but here was a certainty of how dangerous and the necessity to cut off this expanding wave.

"The cancer was there, and as we confront it, we have seen the dimension it has. This process has been seen in other countries, the difference is that it in Colombia it took too much time and too many casualties. One cannot measure success or failure based solely on the casualties. The number of casualties only reflects the intensity and gravity of the problem"

Q - Is there a date on which to end this war?
A - To me, this will be a very long and bloody war. It will implicate lots of time, money, and unfortunately, human lives. But it is a battle that we must fight and united we will win.
