At least two confrontations between the Federal Police and cartel gunmen were reported yesterday in Michoacan, Mexico. The first incident happened when elements of the Federal Police tried to stop three suspicious trucks and when the drivers didn't yield to the officers' sign the confrontation and persecution began. The persecution lasted a few minutes and three gunmen were killed but the rest escaped. After the incident police helicopters were dispatched in order to find the one remaining truck that escaped.
